Anyone over the age of 18 can apply to volunteer, however if you have not been DBS checked within the lat 12 months you will only be able to help with charity events or challenges.
If you have been DBS checked and have your own transport you can help by collecting and delivering day to day essentials, sorting of goods and many other activities the group helps out with.
You will get to meet all the community support volunteers who are all very friendly and meet up frequently wether its a charity event or just for a social meet-up.
In addition you will asked to join any challenges we may be involved with to raise funds for very important charities. Some challenges might be fun where as others may require a certain level of fitness so the challenges are all optional.
Above all though you will be helping vulnerable members of society or people who are temporarily struggling that just need a little help which is also psychologically rewarding.
All our volunteers that deliver goods are DBS checked and have been advised on safeguarding measures aswell as following the Support group procedures for the publics safety aswell as their own.
All volunteers have the Melanie Bumble support group ID which contains their name and contact details for the group.
In addition drop off points will be arranged before hand and the volunteers will not be entering any premises, they will also be monitored during and after they have delivered the goods.
Any funds raised by charitable events are monitored by multiple volunteers (trustees) aswell as the charities.
Funds raised for Charities are normally paid directly into their accounts.
If you want to volunteer you can fill out the online application form.
Please make sure to tick all boxes that apply and how many hours a week you can contribute.
